Christophe Delcourt was born in 1966 near Paris. From an early age, he developed a passion for trees and nature in general. He even considered working the land. But it was in the theater that he found his calling.  While studying drama at the Cours Florent, he became fascinated by set design and created his first sets. It was this contact with materials and understanding of objects in space that naturally led him to design and create furniture.

In 1995, he presented his first creations at Maison & Objet trade fair. The booth was tiny, but success was immediate. “It was the American buyers who launched my career. I had made the prototypes myself, so I had to quickly find partners to produce the first orders,” recalls Christophe Delcourt.

He then met two brothers – a cabinetmaker and a blacksmith – with whom he developed his first pieces. Working alongside them, he discovered craftsmanship, assembly techniques, high-quality materials, and attention to detail.

In 2003, the brand set up its design studio and showroom at 47 rue de Babylone, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. However, it is in Milan, during Salone del Mobile, that the brand presents its new collections each year, at the Mudima Foundation, a contemporary art foundation. These designs enrich a catalogue that now features over 500 items: sofas, tables, chairs, wardrobes, sideboards, etc.

Delcourt Collection is now a leading name in French luxury furniture, distinguished as much by its sculptural approach to furniture design as by the excellence of the craftsmanship employed: wood, stone, ceramics, bronze, textiles, leather, etc. The brand draws on a strong network of partner workshops to create pieces that pay tribute to the nobility of the materials.

Each piece is available to order and fully customizable (materials, dimensions, finishes), offering each customer the opportunity to acquire a unique piece.
